I grew up in Colombia, the daughter of a German-Brazilian mother and a Colombian father, in a home where diverse flavors and traditions blended seamlessly. My journey behind the camera began in 2020 when we built a wood-fired oven at home. What started as an experiment soon turned into a calling—I found joy in documenting open-fire cooking, everyday meals, and cultural traditions that tell stories beyond the plate.

In 2024, I had the opportunity to return to Colombia, where I immersed myself in the country’s culinary roots. A private cook from Barranquilla welcomed me into her kitchen, patiently teaching me traditional techniques passed down through generations. She even sent me on a solo excursion to explore the local markets—a challenge that opened my eyes to the regional ingredients I had missed growing up in Bogotá. That experience, along with my travels through the vibrant streets of Cartagena and Riohacha, deepened my appreciation for the country’s rich gastronomic heritage.
