My name is Vanessa Ni\u00f1o. I am a wife, mom, pitmaster, and passionate food and lifestyle photographer with a deep love for capturing the beauty of everyday life and culinary traditions. My Catholic faith is the foundation of everything I do, inspiring me to see food not just as sustenance but as a way to connect, celebrate, and express gratitude.<\/p>

I grew up in Colombia, the daughter of a German-Brazilian mother and a Colombian father, in a home where diverse flavors and traditions blended seamlessly. Traveling to different countries has shaped my appreciation for the richness of global cuisine, deepening my passion for food and food photography. My journey behind the camera and by the pit began in 2020 when we built a wood-fired oven at home. What started as an experiment soon turned into a calling\u2014I found joy in documenting open-fire cooking, everyday meals, and cultural traditions that tell stories beyond the plate. In 2024, I had the opportunity to return to Colombia, where I immersed myself in the country\u2019s culinary roots. A private cook from Barranquilla welcomed me into her kitchen, patiently teaching me traditional techniques passed down through generations. She even sent me on a solo excursion to explore the local markets\u2014a challenge that opened my eyes to the regional ingredients I had missed growing up in Bogot\u00e1. That experience, along with my travels through the vibrant streets of Cartagena and Riohacha, deepened my appreciation for the country\u2019s rich gastronomic heritage.<\/p>

Food is more than just a meal\u2014it is a bridge between generations, a testament to our roots, and a reflection of shared experiences. Through my photography, I strive to transport viewers into the heart of their cultures, infusing each image with tradition, warmth, and a sense of belonging.<\/p>
